Niresh is a professional programme manager within Deloitte’s Operations Consulting practice. Niresh leads the sub-group within Programme Leadership focusing on Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities.
So, back at Deloitte, can you give some examples of the kind of work you do?
Essentially, I help organisations to derive maximum value from undertaking projects and programmes. This is through:
- Helping clients to objectively select the most beneficial and strategically aligned projects from a long list of opportunities.
- Providing independent assurance and advice to senior stakeholders to help turn-around a failing programme or identify major problems in advance.
- Helping to shape, design and plan large complex transformations which allow an organisation to achieve objectives in a stable and sustainable way.
What was your best experience whilst working on a LOCOG project?
My best experience was working with the LOCOG team across a number of multi-disciplinary areas who all lived and breathed the ‘Olympic spirit’. It was truly encouraging to see individuals on a day to day to basis passionate about the Olympics and working effortlessly towards a common grand objective.
What are you working on at the moment?
My recent experience includes:
- Interim Programme Director for a large mining company, providing oversight, advice and assurance over the global portfolio of projects reporting to the Executive Team.
- Portfolio Management Director for a large Middle East Oil Company to design and implement portfolio management process.
- Programme Assurance Advisor for an European Oil Company over their Finance Transformation Programme.
