So what was it like working at LOCOG?

I was in LOCOG pre the Deloitte sponsorship and up until April 2008.  I loved it there; it was a very exciting time as LOCOG was in planning mode and beginning to understand the scope and scale of the work in the five years ahead.  I can’t believe it is only three years to go and I did their five year plans!

What was your best experience when you worked there?

The best experience was completing and getting sign off on the business plans!  It was a relief.

What did you work on at LOCOG?

I worked in the Strategy and Programme Management Team helping with the planning and design of their integrated planning process for delivering the Games in 2012.
This involved understanding the scope of work involved, planning the roadmap and creating plans across the organisation, ensuring that the budgets were aligned to the plans and that the resources for delivery were the right people in the right place at the right time.

What’s your favourite Olympic moment?

Although my client is now the British Olympic Association, I have to support the Irish! Ireland has only ever won 23 medals but great success came from our team at Beijing last year where we won three medals in Boxing.  A great result for the fighting Irish.
