The Challenge
Deloitte worked with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) to determine the experience they want to provide for each of the customer groups building up to and during the London 2012 Games. The customer groups identified include:
- Athletes and Officials – those competing from countries around the world
- Press & broadcasters – members of the media who will be reporting on the Games
- Local residents – communities living close to the Olympic Park
- Sponsors – commercial companies that support the delivery of the Games
- Spectators – people attending and watching Olympic and Paralympic events
- Workforce – people working on delivering the Games, both paid and volunteers
Select one of these groups and consider:
- What success would look like in terms of their Games experience
- How you would define a positive Games experience for this customer group
- What you would advise LOCOG to do now to ensure a positive experience for this group at the time of the Games
- What you would advise LOCOG to put in place in order to measure this
