The journey to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games has already begun. Deloitte has been involved from the outset, from supporting London’s bid to become the host city to being chosen as the exclusive and official professional services provider to LOCOG*.
The staging of the London 2012 Games will be one of the most complex projects ever undertaken in the UK. Nine million tickets will be distributed for people to watch 10,500 Olympic and 4,200 Paralympic athletes compete in 34 different venues, with 20,000 media representatives covering the events.
And in such challenging economic times, London 2012 has become more important than ever as a symbol of confidence, creating jobs and investment in the East End to fast-forward economic regeneration.
